From now on, Buddhas, Saints, gods and Fairies,
They will be too busy teaching the worldlies.
The Jade Emperor reigning in His Jade Crescent,
Heaves a sigh as He looks over the sentients.
Who He sees only care about their faces,
Rather than improving their personal qualities.
The wealthy are inclined to avoid the poor,
And call them ‘stinking hordes’ they encounter.
How miserable is the Sa-Ba world!
We are sad to see people being too haughty.
To the leper, the disabled and the hungry,
Those who have paid attention are not many.
They prefer members of high society,
Adulating the holders of high status.
However, they treat the needy like dust,
We are dejected with this civilized luxury.
Few are deemed committed as strongly,
To follow their Ancestors’ traditions?
They have glossy hair and fashions,
But they are clever and yet wicked.
Rather than belonging to the human breed,
As the devils have created a cruel race.
They are only keen to rehearse serenade,
Rather than educating the illiterate.
Let your mind be as quiet as a lake,
And point out what we said is wrong?
Follow what Buddha and Saints were doing,
Whoever is a real human must pity the human.
They ridicule those who are rustic and plain,
Rather than providing them with any guidance.
For compassion we work with endurance,
But we find no suitable son or daughter-in-law.
This causes the Ancient People more sorrow,
An acute pain they feel for their breed.
What is the day there be a unity,
When people the world over love each other?
Each time we recall it, our hearts really hurt,
Otherwise you will not know how to improve.
We owe our cooked rice to fire in the stove,
People owe their joy to their time of victory.
Lord Buddha has allowed Mad,
So We may propagate the Tao to the mass.
Whoever scolds you, pretend not to hear,
When they calm down, your advice will help.
Should forbearance come as your first step,
There will be no more enmity.
As soon as there is any symptom of cruelty,
You should destroy it with your kindness.
If enmity is answered with your gentleness,
Then all this rancor will totally dissipate.
Friendship must stay firm to your last breath,
Your bond will hold at its best hardness.
In public, speak with candour and frankness,
Though you’re ingenious, pretend a dullard.
If you challenge, you must be hit hard,
If you're disadvantaged, you may be pilloried.
‘Cause today’s world adores money,
Few will uphold righteousness.
Don’t bother about any slanderousness,
Nor argue with anyone but focus on Tao lexicon.
Such things done, you deserve to be a champion,
A really virtuous should rarely suffer a harangue.
Lord Confucius used to talk about the tongue,
Saying every problem comes from this bloke.
Harmony or disharmony, love or loathe,
It is the tongue which dictates.
But which you should seek to eradicate,
It is good to take full control of its ways.
Don’t copy the character of the monkey,
Seeing people, It does not say but grimace.
Know your limits so that you don’t overstate,
Whatever you do, do it within your capacity.
Nonsense is never wanted by Mad and Crazy,
Except for compassion and tolerance’s sake.
If any of you felt that you still made a mistake,
Read this sermon to correct it.
We neither contest nor challenge any bid,
We let them gossip whimsically.
If you want good merits, publicate it for free,
Your happiness will later be received.
On forest hills, animals are Our trainees,
Down in the world, We are mass leaders.
Present no offering as our visitors,
It is only the candor that you should bring.
We don’t need tea, fruit, incense or things,
And wishthat you would kindly understand.
If our admirers come from a distance.
They can practice at home with this Rite.
If you are busy at farmwork, you may also recite,
And Buddha never minds any schedule.
Being a four-day vegetarian is the rule,
By which Mad guides the sentient being.
Being Buddha’s progeny must not be cunning,
As the materialistic cunning is devilish.
They put on a modern appearance to embellish,
Then betray their nation’s old traditions.
Their minds are filled with perversions,
Instead of being impregnated with loving kindness.
They attend school for the sake of knowledge,
So that they can enjoy a luxury.
